OIPL

OIS Indorama Port Limited (OIPL) is a joint venture between Oil & Industrial Services (OIS) and Indorama Eleme Petrochemicals (IEPL), established on April 19, 2013. OIPL built its own multi-purpose port terminal at Onne Port, Rivers State, Nigeria, to be self-reliant for urea exports from Indorama Eleme Fertilizer & Chemicals Limited (IEFCL).

The OIPL Port Terminal is a dedicated 24/7 facility for worldwide urea exports. Urea is produced by IEFCL at its Port Harcourt plant and transported to the port warehouse in dedicated IEFCL-owned bulk trucks through an integrated supply chain management system. The facility follows best international practices, ensuring temperature and humidity control at all stages to maintain fertilizer quality.

By July 2025, OIS Indorama Port Ltd had handled a total of 297 vessels. The company continues to expand urea exports to new regions and countries, including Europe (France, Italy, Poland), North America (USA, Canada, Mexico), South America (Brazil, Argentina, Colombia), Asia (India), and West & East Africa.

The material is moved from Plant to Port in covered trucks and with temperature and humidity control at the Port, the Urea quality is maintained.

The OIPL port is 18Km away from the Plant, ensuring delivery at the port in less than 3 hours. With the state-of-the-art automation and loading equipment at the port, OIPL delivers faster turnaround of vessels, bringing a competitive advantage in terms of cost.
